Position Responsibilities
As a Sales Development Representative at Deltek, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission to empower project-based businesses with intelligent solutions. You will be responsible for driving growth and building strong relationships by engaging with prospective clients, understanding their needs, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver value. Own and manage a designated account list, including territory mapping, researching target accounts, and identifying key personas for outreach. Execute high-volume outbound and inbound prospecting through calls, emails, and professional networking platforms to generate qualified meetings and build a robust sales pipeline. Conduct thoughtful discovery conversations to qualify prospects, uncover business priorities, and identify challenges using a consultative approach. Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure seamless account handoffs and provide actionable feedback to enhance lead quality. Maintain high standards of effort and professionalism, contributing positively to a results-driven team environment.
Qualifications
6–12 months of sales or target-driven experience, including at least 6 months of cold calling. Demonstrated coachability, with a willingness to receive and act on feedback for continuous improvement. Strong motivation to achieve and exceed targets, with a competitive mindset. Proactive problem-solving skills and initiative to enhance team performance. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
