Sales Development Representative
Internal Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Commercially Focused
Role Purpose
This commercially focused Internal Sales Development Representative (SDR) position involves:
- Qualifying inbound enquiries
- Developing opportunities within the existing customer base
- Supporting the sales team through structured sales administration
The role acts as the front line of the revenue engine, combining proactive opportunity development with disciplined sales operations to ensure:
- High-quality, well-qualified opportunities are passed to the field sales team
- Deals progress efficiently through internal systems
This role does not include responsibility for marketing or social media activity.
Success Measures (KPIs)
Performance will be measured against the following metrics:
- Number of qualified opportunities created
- Lead response time
- Conversion rate from enquiry to qualified opportunity
- Meeting bookings for field sales team
- CRM accuracy and data completeness
- Reduction in unqualified or poorly prepared deals
- Timeliness of deal processing and handover
- Contribution to team revenue performance (bonus-linked)

Essential Skills
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Strong questioning and listening skills

- Comfortable running structured sales campaigns

Experience & Background
Essential:
- Experience in internal sales, SDR, sales support, or customer-facing commercial roles
- Experience using a CRM system (HubSpot or similar)
- Experience qualifying enquiries or managing inbound leads

- HubSpot and Uptick experience
- Experience supporting B2B sales teams
