The Role

Our SDRs have an incredible opportunity to evangelize ThoughtSpot and deliver qualified opportunities to the sales team. This role allows you to build a strong foundation of software sales skills while having a direct impact on pipeline creation and revenue generation.

As the first point of contact for many ThoughtSpot prospects, the ideal candidate will be passionate about our mission to make the world more fact-driven and highly motivated to achieve sales goals. SDRs work cross-functionally with our marketing and sales teams in alignment with our Go-To-Market strategy. Join us and help drive our growth and expansion while leveraging the latest AI-powered tools to engage prospects more effectively and efficiently.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and pursue outbound leads to generate qualified meetings for Sales Leaders.
  • Research target accounts to identify current and future BI, Analytics, and AI initiatives, business priorities, and key stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, articulating the value of ThoughtSpot to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Partner with field sales and marketing to convert leads into qualified meetings.
  • Design and execute creative sales and marketing outreach campaigns.
  • Use LinkedIn and modern prospecting platforms for social selling and lead generation.
  • Leverage AI-powered sales tools to identify, prioritize, and engage high-potential accounts and prospects.
  • Utilize AI-driven insights to personalize outreach, tailor messaging, and improve prospect engagement at scale.
  • Continuously experiment with emerging AI and automation technologies to improve productivity, pipeline generation, and conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to share insights and optimize prospecting strategies.
  • Manage, organize, and update contact and activity data in Salesforce and other sales technologies.
  • Consistently meet deadlines and achieve pipeline generation targets.

What You Bring

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and German
  • Strong business acumen and articulate communication skills.
  • Professional, creative, and dynamic presence.
  • Demonstrated success in a comparable SDR, BDR, or outbound sales role.
  • Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment with a startup mindset.
  • Positive attitude and desire to help build a world-class company, with strong collaboration across teams.
  • Strong customer-centric mindset.
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI, data, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience using AI-powered productivity, prospecting, or sales engagement tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ability to leverage data and insights to develop targeted outreach strategies and drive engagement.
  • A growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning, experimentation, and adapting to evolving sales processes.

Hybrid Work at ThoughtSpot

Mandatory And Required Skills For All ThoughtSpot Roles

Spotters are expected to demonstrate AI literacy and workflow integration to include to ability to:

  • Comfortably and confidently integrate artificial intelligence into their daily workflow to increase productivity and quality.
  • Hands-on experience to leverage AI tools (industry-leading LLMs) to increase productivity, automate routine tasks, and improve work quality.
  • Speak to the experience of using AI for research, content creation, and document summarization while maintaining ownership of judgment and final decisions.
  • Write effective prompts to get the most accurate and creative results from AI tools.
