Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Finance SaaS
Base Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 | OTE up to £55,000 Fully Remote | UK
Our client, a rapidly growing and innovative Finance Software provider, is seeking a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to thrive in the fast-paced SaaS industry, focusing on mid-market and enterprise organisations while laying the groundwork for a successful sales career. With a clear progression path to an Account Executive (AE) role upon success, this position is ideal for ambitious individuals eager to advance in sales.
About the Role
As an SDR, you will be the initial point of contact for potential customers, responsible for identifying, qualifying leads, and preparing the pipeline for successful sales conversations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively engage with finance leaders, CFOs, and key stakeholders through outbound prospecting.
- Utilise a mix of cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and other sales engagement tactics to generate interest.
- Qualify both inbound and outbound leads, ensuring seamless handoffs to the Account Executive team.
- Conduct research on prospective clients to understand their needs and effectively position the company’s SaaS solutions.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of prospect interactions and pipeline updates.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies and messaging.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and financial technology advancements.

Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a highly motivated individual eager to thrive in a fast-paced SaaS sales environment.
What You Bring:
- 12+ months of experience in an SDR role for a SaaS company selling to finance teams.
- Proven track record of booking meetings for AEs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and target-driven mindset.
- A proactive and coachable attitude, with a clear desire to transition into an Account Executive role.
- Ability to handle objections and articulate value propositions effectively.
- Organised, disciplined, with excellent time management and CRM proficiency.
