Sales Development Representative at RotaCloud
We're looking for a Sales Development Representative to work within our thriving Sales team.
As a Sales Development Representative at RotaCloud, you'll be the first real conversation many businesses have with us, whether they're exploring us through a free trial or discovering us for the first time. You'll re-engage trial users, reach out to new businesses, and run discovery conversations that uncover genuine workforce management challenges, booking meetings for our Account Executives that are built on real understanding, not just volume.
Sitting at the centre of Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success, you'll act as the commercial lead for every opportunity you create, feeding market and customer insight back into the business and helping remove friction across the buying journey, shaping how prospects experience RotaCloud from their very first interaction.
What You’ll Be Doing
Pipeline engagement and qualification
- Proactively contact prospects currently in their free trial period via phone, email, and in-app messaging to drive engagement and adoption.
- Re-engage users whose trials have expired to understand why they didn't convert and revive interest where appropriate.
- Run structured discovery to understand customer context, pain points, buying process, and product fit.
- Identify and reach out to new businesses that haven't yet tried RotaCloud, introducing them to the product through cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach.
Solution selling, demos and proposals
- Identify opportunities for RotaCloud products through effective questioning.
- Qualify prospects against ideal customer criteria before handing off to sales.
- Book qualified meetings and demos for Account Executives, ensuring a smooth handoff with clear context.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
