Role Description

EmpowerRD is a fast growing startup based near silicon roundabout in central London, UK. We work with innovative companies across the UK to help them claim R&D tax credits from the government for the innovation they have undertaken. R&D tax credits are one of a number of incentives that exist globally in what amounts to likely £100Bn+ of funding available to companies across the world.

Traditionally companies have worked with providers who offer support through an offline process to secure these incentives. EmpowerRD have developed a SaaS platform and married it up to a team of experts to create a claiming process fit for the digital age.

We have built a client base of over 500 companies in the last few years, we continue to expand our focus and as such are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our highly skilled team. Working both autonomously and in collaboration, you'll play an integral role to our continued growth and be empowered with the right tools and training for top of the funnel success. In addition you will gain valuable FinTech sales experience and, as you progress, be rewarded with the opportunity to grow with the organisation.

You will be working directly with our successful existing team, supporting sales people who joined us as SDR's and have progressed into sales and now leadership roles within our business. We are constantly looking for high potential candidates who can deliver within the role of SDR but have a lot of latent potential to grow and develop with the business. In addition to teaching you how to be a successful SDR we will expose you to the overall workings of an early stage tech startup giving a broad view of how our business operates and evolves as we execute with a high degree of transparency.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
