Sales Development Representative

Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days home)

Basic Salary: Up to £40,000 + Uncapped Commission (OTE £55,000+)

We're recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's most respected organisers of large-scale B2B trade exhibitions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Sales Development Representative to join a successful and growing sales team.

If you enjoy opening doors, speaking with senior decision-makers and creating new business opportunities, this role offers an excellent platform to develop your career whilst earning uncapped commission.

The Role

Working closely with the Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective exhibitors, generating qualified opportunities and helping drive commercial growth across an established portfolio of market-leading events.

You'll become an expert within your sector, building relationships with businesses across the UK and internationally while developing a strong understanding of your market. This is a consultative sales role where confidence, curiosity and resilience are rewarded.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify prospective exhibitors.
  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, email and LinkedIn.
  • Qualify leads and book meetings for the sales team.
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records.
  • Work towards individual and team revenue targets.
  • Support the wider commercial team with new business initiatives.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and market developments.

About You

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a sales, business development or SDR role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Confidence speaking with senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive and positive attitude.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple conversations and priorities.
  • A genuine desire to develop a career within B2B events or media sales.

Experience within exhibitions, events, media or SaaS would be advantageous but isn't essential.
