Sales Development Representative (SDR) - Open Banking
Founding UK team member · London-based · £40,000–£60,000 base + commission · Reports to the CRO
The opportunity
A fast-growing, UK-licensed open banking scale-up is building out its UK team, and we're hiring one of its first SDRs. Having recently secured its UK licence, the business is scaling quickly with a genuinely modern, competitive product. You'll join a lean, ambitious team and report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, who previously helped scale one of the biggest names in open banking.
This is a ground-floor role. As one of the first UK hires, you'll own top-of-funnel pipeline generation with a direct line to senior leadership - and a clear path to grow into a full Account Executive (closing) seat as you prove yourself.
What you'll be doing
- Build targeted prospect lists across priority, low-risk verticals (e-commerce, property and beyond)
- Run high-quality outbound: cold calling, email sequences and LinkedIn outreach
- Book and qualify meetings that feed the sales team and the CRO directly
- Represent the business at industry events and conferences
- Research accounts and identify the right people to reach - quality of targeting over sheer volume
- Work with modern prospecting tooling (e.g. Apollo, Lusha, Cognism) to stay sharp and organised
- Learn the open banking product inside-out and become a credible first point of contact for prospects

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
