Scovai is partnering with a leading UK pharmaceutical organisation to appoint a Sales Director based in London. This hybrid role offers significant autonomy to shape commercial strategy, drive market expansion, and lead a high-performing sales function across the UK. You will translate corporate objectives into a clear, executable commercial plan, overseeing P&L management, forecasting, and budget allocation. Your focus will span new market entry, strategic account development, and cross-functional alignment with medical, market access, regulatory, and marketing teams.
You will negotiate complex commercial agreements with senior NHS and private sector stakeholders while ensuring strict adherence to industry compliance standards.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences sales
- Deep expertise in UK healthcare dynamics
- Experience scaling revenue in competitive markets
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, and retain top talent
- Strong analytical skills for sales planning
- Executive presence and collaborative leadership
Educational Background:
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional background
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility for regular UK travel and occasional international assignments
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience launching specialty/biologic or rare-disease therapies in the UK (managing complex clinical/commercial launches)
- Hands-on experience with NICE appraisals, HTA submissions, and pricing & reimbursement negotiations
- Demonstrated success winning NHS tenders and navigating procurement frameworks (framework agreements, NHS Supply Chain)
- Strong commercial analytics and digital transformation experience (advanced use of CRM/CLM like Salesforce/Veeva, BI tools to drive segmentation, forecasting, and territory optimization)
- Experience building and scaling remote/hybrid sales teams with a focus on sales enablement, coaching, and change management

- Experience working with NHS and private healthcare channels
- Knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice
