Sales Director
The Company
A pioneering global leader in processing and packaging line solutions, the business is anchored by its commitment to service leadership, innovative solutions aligned to changing industry dynamics and a deep-rooted commitment to sustainability.
The company is now seeking a Sales Director to shape and lead its future UK & Ireland commercial growth strategy. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be an astute commercial thinker with a passion for strengthening existing business and unlocking new opportunities.
A proven leader of people, you will be driven by getting the best out of the high performing sales team across the UK and Ireland through setting clear expectations, nurturing individual development and mentoring.
You will be joining an ambitious, proven organisation in the industry and will have experience of complex B2B technology solution sales into process industries, ideally within FMCG sectors.
Responsibilities
- Author and implement the UK & Ireland sales strategy aligned to company strategic objectives.
- Lead, coach and develop the UK & Ireland sales team; instilling a collaborative, high performance culture.
- Set clear and ambitious objectives for the team; focused on growth in both new and existing customers.
- Take a strategic role in the leadership team discussions and decision making; helping shape the business future across UK & Ireland.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key clients, understanding how technology solutions can best address their business objectives and needs.
- Engage and collaborate with cross functional teams including marketing, product development and customer support to ensure a joined-up approach.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and conferences to promote the brand and build networks where appropriate.
- Lead as a senior brand ambassador, internally and externally, consistently championing the culture and values.

Requirements
- Proven track record in B2B technology sales (ideally in the food industry) with a solid background in achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Deep understanding of the B2B technology solutions landscape, staying updated on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
- Passionate about building long-lasting customer relationships.
- Skilled at coaching, motivating and developing high performing sales teams.
- Comfortable using data and analytics to inform decision making, measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Flexible attitude to adapt to evolving market conditions, technological advancements and organisational changes.
- An astute and skilled negotiator with a focus on creating mutually beneficial agreements for company and customer alike.
- Strong problem-solving skills to proactively address challenges in the sales process and find effective solutions.
