£70,000 - £100,000 DOE + Car Allowance, Package

As part of its continued growth strategy, a successful print business is seeking to appoint a commercially driven Sales Director to lead its next phase of expansion.

Through a fully integrated approach spanning creative, print and logistics, the business delivers high-quality marketing campaigns, brand communications and retail display solutions for a broad portfolio of customers.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead the commercial strategy, drive sales performance and play a key role in the company's continued growth. This opportunity would suit an experienced sales leader from the print manufacturing sector who can balance strategic planning with hands-on commercial leadership.

The Role

  • Develop and deliver the company's sales and commercial strategy
  • Lead, mentor and develop the sales team
  • Drive revenue growth across existing and new customers
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key strategic accounts
  • Identify new market opportunities and routes to market
  • Support major tenders, presentations and commercial negotiations
  • Work closely with operations and production teams to ensure outstanding customer delivery
  • Analyse market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity
  • Deliver accurate forecasting, reporting and pipeline management
  • Contribute to wider business strategy as part of the senior leadership team

About You

  • Proven experience as a Sales Director, Head of Sales, Commercial Director or similar senior role within print manufacturing
  • Strong track record of delivering commercial growth
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams
  • Excellent commercial awareness and strategic thinking
  • Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • A consultative, customer-focused approach
  • Credibility and presence to represent the business at a senior level

Location

Candidates should be based in the North East or Yorkshire and be willing to travel as required to support customers and business operations.
