Sales Director

Berkshire | National & International Travel | Up to £100,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Sales Director with a passion for leading high performing commercial teams and driving strategic business growth?

ENB are supporting our client who are seeking a commercially astute sales leader to shape and deliver an ambitious sales strategy within a specialist engineering and technology environment. This is an opportunity to influence business direction, develop teams, and build long term customer relationships across technically complex markets.

As Sales Director, you will take full ownership of the overall sales strategy, leading Sales Managers, Technical Field Sales and Inside Sales teams to deliver sustainable growth. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, strengthening key customer relationships and ensuring the sales function operates efficiently, strategically and collaboratively.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will need to champion a consultative, solution led approach, helping customers solve complex engineering challenges across advanced technologies including electronics, photonics, sensing, imaging and magnetic technologies.

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing multi-disciplinary sales team.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities while growing existing key accounts.
  • Drive a robust sales pipeline and ensure effective CRM utilisation.
  • Implement forecasting processes and monitor sales performance against agreed objectives.
  • Build strategic relationships with customers, suppliers and key stakeholders.
  • Champion a solution-focused sales approach that delivers long-term customer value.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities within high-growth technology sectors.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Essential skills and background experience:

  • An Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
  • Significant experience leading and developing successful sales teams.
  • Strong commercial and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience selling technical or engineered solutions within the electronics, components or related technology sectors.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • A data-driven approach to forecasting and sales performance management.
  • The ability to motivate teams, drive change and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
