Role Description

The Sales Director is a full-time role responsible for leading the hotel’s sales strategy to maximize revenue across corporate, leisure, and group segments. This is a hybrid position based in Hertfordshire, with a mix of on-site work at DoubleTree by Hilton London Elstree and some work from home, depending on business needs.

  • Developing and executing a sales plan
  • Managing key accounts
  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Nurturing relationships with existing clients

The Sales Director will oversee sales operations, collaborate with revenue management and marketing teams, prepare forecasts and sales reports, and ensure targets are met or exceeded. The role also includes leading and coaching the sales team, representing the hotel at client meetings and industry events, and maintaining high standards of customer service aligned with Hilton brand values.

Qualifications

  • Proven skills in Sales and Business Development, with a track record of achieving revenue targets and growing market share.
  • Experience in Sales Operations, including pipeline management, reporting, forecasting, and use of CRM systems.
  • Strong Customer Service capabilities, with the ability to build long-term client relationships and handle complex client needs.
  • Demonstrated Team Management skills, including coaching, performance management, and leading a diverse sales team.
  • Experience in hospitality, travel, or related sectors is highly beneficial, preferably at a senior sales level.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with confidence in client-facing and networking environments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, managing time and priorities between on-site and remote work.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with comfort in using data to drive decisions and refine strategy.
  • Proficiency in standard office software and digital collaboration tools; familiarity with Hilton systems is an advantage.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in sales, hospitality management, business, or a related field.
