Sales Director – EMS

Location: RG22 (flexibility on candidate location)
Working Pattern: Remote / Hybrid with regular customer travel as required
Employment Type: Permanent

Select Talent Group (STG) is delighted to be partnering with a leading electronics manufacturing company to appoint an experienced Sales Director.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing business with ambitious expansion plans, a strong reputation for quality, and a broad range of electronics manufacturing capabilities serving customers across highly regulated industries.

The Opportunity

As Sales Director, you will take ownership of driving new business growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and expanding market presence across key sectors including Aerospace & Defence, Medical, Industrial, and Automotive.

This is a senior individual contributor role focused on winning new business, developing customer partnerships, and delivering sustainable revenue growth through a consultative sales approach.

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive new customer acquisition.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across target markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, operations, quality, and commercial teams to deliver customer solutions.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, proposals, quotations, and contract discussions.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and deliver against agreed revenue targets.
  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to expand market presence.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies within electronics manufacturing.
  • Ensure all customer activity is accurately recorded within CRM systems.

About You

We are looking for a commercially driven sales professional with a proven track record of winning and developing business within the electronics manufacturing sector.

You will likely possess:

  • Significant experience in EMS, PCBA, electronics manufacturing, or related technology sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of Aerospace & Defence, Medical, Industrial, and/or Automotive markets.
  • Demonstrated success in generating new business and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify profitable growth opportunities.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to operate autonomously.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively to customers across the UK.
