Euronext FX: Sales Director

Euronext FX is an Electronic Communication Network (ECN) for foreign exchange trading. As Sales Director you will expand our reach across the EMEA/APAC/US regions. Your key responsibilities will include enhancing existing client relationships, securing new sales, and driving growth in revenue through trading volumes, commissions, and market data products.


About the Role

Drive the expansion of Euronext FX in key regions (EMEA, APAC, US) by developing and nurturing high-value client relationships. Focus on growth, revenue generation, and ensuring seamless onboarding and client satisfaction.


Key Accountabilities

  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Development Identify, qualify, negotiate, close, and onboard new clients across all target segments. Maintain a proactive approach to client coverage, increasing engagement with products, execution styles, portfolio managers, and trading desks.

  • Revenue Generation Generate revenue through concurrent activities such as trading volumes, commissions, and selling market data products.

  • Strategic Collaboration Work closely with sales and cross-functional teams (Sales, Liquidity Management, Support & Quant) to provide exceptional service. Daily collaboration with the Liquidity Management team to refine solutions, drive execution, and increase trading volumes via tailored strategies.

  • Market & Industry Awareness Stay updated on market developments, industry best practices, and competitive eFX trading trends.

  • Client Proactivity Regularly engage with clients to maximise revenue opportunities and trading activity, while assessing their needs and matching appropriate solutions.

  • Product & CRM Utilisation Provide client and market feedback to the product team to guide future functionality. Utilise CRM tools to analyse prospective clients, track sales progress, and manage communications effectively.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential Requirements

  • 7-10 years’ experience in eFX sales, with in-depth understanding of electronic foreign exchange market dynamics.

  • Familiarity with core eFX concepts including but not limited to spreads, decay, cost of execution, last-look protection, and round-trip times.

  • Prior experience selling services to FX platforms or trading venues is preferred.

  • Digital asset knowledge advantageous given the evolving nature of trading markets.

  • Preference for candidates with previously established client relationships, particularly with buy-side institutions.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

Technical & Soft Skills

  • Client-facing & interpersonal expertise: Ability to engage effectively with senior executives, traders, and decision-makers across numerous corporate levels.
  • Strong presentation skills: Ability to deliver clear, compelling strategies with impact on diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated team player: Capability to collaborate while maintaining initiative and independence.
  • Creative and analytical mindset: Ability to formulate innovative solutions for clients' complex requirements and data-driven insights.

  • Technical literacy: Proven expertise in electronic trading environments, platforms, and workflows, particularly in FX trading.
  • Quantitative skills: Experience analysing, interpreting, and communicating client and participant trading data.
