Sales Director – Invoice Finance / Asset Based Lending, Mid Corporate
Location: Birmingham Salary: Competitive – discussed at interview Contract: Full time Working Pattern: Hybrid (at least 2 days per week at office)
About the Role
Looking for a dynamic candidate to drive origination, influence deal structuring, and deliver high-value Invoice Finance and Asset Based Lending (ABL) transactions in the Mid Corporate market. This is a senior, growth-focused opportunity within a leading banking group.
Key Focus: Support businesses with turnovers between £25m–£100m by identifying, structuring, and executing complex Invoice Finance and ABL solutions. Key targets: new client acquisition, tailored lending, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Originate and deliver new opportunities in Invoice Finance and ABL for mid-tier clients
- Build and nurture high-level relationships with existing and potential clients
- Assess client needs and design bespoke financial solutions
- Lead deal negotiation, from structuring to successful execution
- Collaborate with coverage teams and key partners to expand opportunity pipelines
- Work closely with product specialists to resolve complex transactional challenges
- Strengthen the regional presence to enhance market engagement

Requirements
- Proven experience in Invoice Finance / ABL with a focus on mid-market deals
- Strong financial and credit assessment skills
- A track record of high-value, enterprise-level transactions
- Ability to influence decision-makers at senior levels
- Experience working with business intermediaries (e.g., brokers, accountants)
- A collaborative leadership style that drives team success and individual growth
