About Our Client

Our client is a trusted provider of professional security solutions across the UK. They specialise in delivering high-quality security services, including Manned Guarding, Mobile Patrols, Key Holding & Alarm Response, Security Reception, Event Security, Retail Security, and Construction Site Security.

About the Opportunity

As part of their ambitious growth strategy, they are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Director to join the Senior Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished sales professional to play a pivotal role in driving business growth, expanding their client portfolio, and strengthening their position within the UK security industry.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Sales Director will lead the company's sales and business development strategy, identifying new opportunities, securing high-value contracts, and building long-term relationships with clients across multiple sectors.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in the UK security industry and a proven track record of delivering sustained revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's sales and business growth strategy.
  • Drive revenue growth, improve gross margins, and increase overall profitability.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across the UK.
  • Expand the company's presence in existing and emerging markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Collaborate with operational and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are fully understood and successfully delivered.
  • Prepare and present proposals, tenders, and commercial presentations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and future growth sectors.
  • Represent the company at client meetings, networking events, and industry exhibitions.
  • Contribute to the wider business strategy as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an ambitious and results-focused sales leader with:

  • 8–10 years' experience in senior sales or business development roles.
  • Proven experience within the UK security industry.
  • A successful track record of winning high-value security contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of ACS standards, SIA licensing, Facilities Management, Corporate Security, and the wider security sector.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic sales plans.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • The right to work in the UK.

Performance Expectations

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Secure new business contracts with an annual value exceeding £500,000.
  • Increase overall company revenue by at least 30% within the first 12 months.
  • Expand Security Services into new sectors and geographical markets.
  • Build a strong and sustainable sales pipeline.
  • Strengthen strategic partnerships and long-term client relationships.
