Sales Engineer, Instrumentation and Process Control

Fully Remote (Must be based in the Southern half of England). £40,000 Basic Salary, Bonus, Company Profit Share, Private Healthcare, and Company Pension.

Our client is a highly established British manufacturer of industrial instrumentation and process control. Due to the upcoming retirement of the incumbent after 23 years of dedicated service, a vacancy has arisen for a strategic and autonomous Sales Engineer to manage and expand the Southern territory.

This is a highly varied role that encompasses a broad product portfolio and spans multiple industrial sectors. It offers an excellent balance of high-level account management and strategic business development. The role is remote, home-based, with most meetings over Zoom/Teams, but will require occasional field visits. Therefore, to apply, you must be a car owner willing to utilise your own vehicle (Mileage reimbursed at 55p per mile).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
