Sales Engineer
Sales Engineer/Account Manager Location: North West, Yorkshire Regions Remote working, home based

Salary: c. £50,000 with commissions and benefits

The Department: Core Industries:
This division supports around half of the company’s Global business, with many complex products, challenging projects and strong customer base. These markets are a vital stream within the UK, and there are currently many premium and “blue chip” companies and supporting supply chain key customers.
The Role:
- This is a field-based position, traveling at least 3-4 days a week, ideally close to the existing customer base, but with broader responsibility for developing assigned accounts across Northern England and Scotland.
- You will manage extensive business relationships with customers at all levels of the supply chain, to further drive our growth and profitability.
- Focusing on key growth markets, you will use your technical, commercial and sales knowledge to sell products offering to existing and new business.
- With full support from the Business Manager, the successful candidate will look for opportunities in different industries, prospecting for new business, be familiar with working with customers to develop technical, engineered solutions and solve problems, contributing to our ambitious growth targets.

The position would ideally suit an individual who is already employed in a sales capacity or somebody wanting to develop their career in sales. Either way, candidates must demonstrate a good level of commercial acumen, familiar with working with customers to develop bespoke solutions and resolving problems.
Job Accountabilities:
- Complete the annual goal setting package and submit it to sales management.
- Determine and manage the sales potential of customers/accounts and plan appointments to reach the desired sales goals and measure the return on time invested with each account.
- Set objectives and manage accounts, new contacts including existing applications or possible applications.
- Develop and manage the sales call plan for assigned customers' contact requests based on potential sales revenue. Determine growth opportunities and keep an active review list of programs.
- Develop and manage a plan to pursue all application opportunities with the assigned accounts through personal visits.
- Maintain accurate computer-generated customer records in the standard company format and a record of application activity of all assigned customers. Supply sales management with a computer backup upon request. Update global database weekly.
- Prepare a monthly analysis, by account responsibility, for the Sales Manager on all substantial opportunities in new products, marketing, facilities, other territories, and/or problems and report on performance to forecast objectives.
- Plan and carry out new product sales and development with assigned companies.
- Hold seminars at assigned key accounts per company standards.
- On a continuous basis, communicate changes in the marketplace and customer requirements that lead to new products or new ways to service the market.
- Promote the capability of the company as a valued supplier to all contacts.
- Complete quarterly forecast and submit to sales management.

Education, Skills & Requirements:
- High level of education
- A strong desire towards obtaining a career in sales. Experience will be reflected in the salary on offer.
- Self-motivated, confident, good negotiator and communicator, flexible attitude.
- Possess drive, energy, not prepared to give up and ability to question.
- Able to create a reason to get in front of customers.
- Perseverance, persuasive
- Comfortable meeting with customers and developing relationships.
- Computer skills are advantageous.
- Exposure to technical products requiring solution selling techniques favourable but NOT essential.
- Ability and willingness to work from home/office.
- Ability to travel. Driving license essential.
