Job Title: Sales Engineer (OEM & Trade) – SL003

Position Overview
The Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role within our OEM & Trade Team, driving the sale of Equipment & Services solutions to both existing and new clients. Your primary responsibilities include generating new business opportunities, nurturing customer relationships, and delivering exceptional sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and engage potential customers across industries needing HVAC or Process Cooling solutions.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to convert leads into high-value opportunities.
- Conduct market research to uncover trends, gauge competition, and identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain and update a robust sales pipeline, keeping the CRM system current with accurate client data.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling promotions and initiatives that support sales efforts.

Technical Expertise
- Hold an in-depth understanding of HVAC and Process Temperature Control solutions, including process chiller units, temperature control units, and related equipment.
- Provide technical guidance to customers, ensuring they choose the right solutions for their needs.
- Perform site visits and assessments to evaluate customer requirements and propose tailored Equipment & Services.
- Comply with Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) and engage with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) requirements.
- Partner with engineering and project management teams to refine custom solutions based on specifications.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with customers as their primary technical and business advisor.
- Respond to customer needs with timely, innovative solutions, fostering satisfaction and repeat business.
- Conduct proactive follow-ups to address concerns and ensure long-term customer alignment.
Sales Reporting & Analysis
- Generate and present sales reports, including forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance metrics.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to inform strategic adjustments.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership, enhancing sales efficacy.
Internal Compliance & Accountability
- Adhere to and participate in QHSE and Trane Technologies company initiatives, including risk assessments and QHSE training.
- Uphold internal codes of conduct and ethical standards.
- Drive your own continuous learning and development via **My Learning platforms`.
- Align personal goals with bonus targets based on performance feedback from stakeholders.
- Assuming any additional tasks reasonably delegated by your manager.

Required Skills & Experience
- Qualifications: A degree or equivalent experience in engineering or related field preferred.
- Sales Experience: Proven expertise in sales or CRM, ideally within HVAC, refrigeration, or process industries.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to forge lasting customer relationships.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to understand client needs and offer tailored solutions.
- Self-Directed: Driven by results, with a track record of outperforming sales targets.
- Problem-Solving & Negotiation: Keen analytical mind and persuasive negotiation skills.
- CRM & Office Suite Fluency: Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Work Eligibility: Right-to-work permit for the relevant country.
- Mobility: Must hold a current driver’s licence and demonstrate travel readiness within the country of application.
