Sales Engineer, Technical Sales - Water Treatment, EPC
Are you a technical sales professional with experience selling into the EPC market and managing consultative sales cycles? Join our growing business in a newly created role where you'll take ownership of developing new business, win major engineering projects and play a key role in our continued success across the UK and Ireland.
BASIC SALARY: Up to £65,000

Location
Home-based, covering the UK and Ireland. You can be based anywhere within the UK or Ireland, with occasional travel to our Head Office in Hitchin and customer meetings as required.

Job Description
You will take ownership of developing new business across the EPC market. You'll identify new projects, engage customers at the specification stage and develop technically compliant solutions that meet their requirements. This is a consultative sales role with long project lifecycles, where building trusted relationships and understanding customer needs are key to success. You'll have the autonomy to develop your own pipeline while being supported by an experienced technical team.

As Our Technical Sales Engineer, You Will
- Develop new business opportunities with EPC contractors across the UK and Ireland.
- Build relationships with consultants, contractors and end users to identify future projects.
- Engage customers early in the project lifecycle to influence specifications.
- Manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to quotation, negotiation and project award.
- Work closely with engineering colleagues to develop compliant, commercially viable solutions.
- Review technical specifications and drawings to ensure proposed systems meet customer requirements.
- Support the preparation of quotations, tenders and technical proposals.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
Person Specification
We're looking for a motivated technical sales professional who is ready to build on their existing experience. You'll have:

- Experience selling into the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) market.
- A background in technical, engineering or capital equipment sales.
- Experience managing consultative B2B sales opportunities and developing new business.
- The ability to build relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Experience within water treatment, process engineering, utilities or similar industrial markets would be highly advantageous.
- The flexibility to travel throughout the UK and Ireland when required (minimal).

It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, EPC, Engineering Procurement Construction, Water Treatment, Business Development, Engineering Sales, Process Engineering, Capital Equipment, Utilities, Industrial Engineering.
