Sales Engineer
Sales Engineer – Injection Moulding & Tooling (Northeast, UK)
Our client, a specialist in injection moulding and tooling solutions for Medical, Industrial, and Consumer Products industries across the UK and China, is seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer based in the North East.
About the Role
Use your commercial acumen, technical knowledge, and passion for engineering and manufacturing to grow customer relationships and drive sales. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the sector, working flexibly between in-person, Teams, and phone-based engagement.
Specific Responsibilities
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Partnering with a third-party lead generation company to build and nurture profitable commercial relationships with:
- Design consultancies
- Medium-sized Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)
- Maintaining frequent communication with UK clients and prospects via:
- Phone
- Microsoft Teams
- Face-to-face meetings
- Delivering persuasive presentations and negotiating sales deals
- Managing key customer accounts, ensuring their needs are met consistently
- Gathering and storing relevant commercial and project information
- Supporting the preparation of:
- Quotations
- Proposals
- After-sales support
- Collaborating with technical and production teams to align solutions with customer requirements

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Desired Skills & Experience
- A strong desire to work in sales, particularly within engineering or manufacturing
- Interest or knowledge of injection moulding, product development, or toolling solutions (advantageous but not mandatory)
- Consultative selling skills—you must excel at listening, tailoring solutions, and closing deals
- A customer-facing attitude, balancing persuasion, professionalism, and rapport-building

Key Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence (essential for travel between client sites)
Rewards & Benefits
- Salary: £37,000–£47,000 per annum
- Car allowance: £500/percál month
- Mileage allowance for work-related travel
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
- Clear progression path to Senior Sales roles
