We are seeking a Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team at Orkes. As a key member of the sales team, you will bridge the gap between technical expertise and business value, helping prospective customers understand how Orkes can solve their challenges. This role is ideal for a technical professional with a passion for problem-solving, customer interaction, and influencing business decisions through technical insight.

Your day-to-day at Orkes:

  • Solution Expertise: Gain a deep understanding of Orkes' platform, architecture, and capabilities to act as a subject matter expert.
  • Customer Engagement: Partner with sales representatives to engage with prospects, assess their needs, and provide tailored demonstrations of Orkes solutions.
  • Technical Presentations: Lead compelling presentations, technical deep-dives, and proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives to showcase the value of Orkes to diverse stakeholders.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and design effective solutions leveraging Orkes' platform.
  • Solution Design: Partner with Orkes’ product and engineering team to map customer requirements and own rapid buildout of compelling solution demonstrations to showcase Orkes’ value proposition to customers.
  • Customer RFI and RFP support: Partner with sales executives, marketing, and product teams to own the timely completion of Orkes’ winning response to customer RFIs and RFPs.
  • Feedback Loop: Act as a voice of the customer, providing feedback to product and engineering teams to influence the product roadmap.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, customer support, product, and engineering teams to drive deals to closure and ensure customer success.
  • Training & Enablement: Drive customer training of Orkes platform, offering best practices and guidance on optimizing customer workflow development by leveraging latest capabilities such as GenAI and Advanced Human-Tasks.

Qualities that will help you succeed:

  • Proven experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js).
  • Experience with orchestration tools, workflow engines, or similar technologies is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent in mapping customer requirements to rapidly visualize compelling solutions leveraging Orkes’ platform capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Hands-on experience with Workflow development and APIs.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Prior experience working with open-source software or communities.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and system integrations.
