The opportunity

We are now recruiting for a Sales Engineer to join the team to support the UK team. The role will focus on providing technical assistance to key partners in the support of Hytera’s product portfolio including pre-sales demonstrations, pre-sales (preparing quotations and technical responses to bids and tenders), post-sales (technical support) and technical training to our partners. The RF-based technologies in the portfolio include Analogue, DMR, TETRA, LTE and POC terminals and IP and Tier III systems. What you need to apply

This is a very practical, hands-on role, strong technical skills with a commercial focus are essential to this role - the ideal candidate will have:

  • Professional level standard English language
  • Willingness to travel in the UK and in Europe generally.
  • Good experience and knowledge of Hytera RF products and applications or industry equivalent RF systems experience.
  • Background in the design, deployment, and installation of PMR products (Analogue, DMR, LTE or TETRA) for either public safety or commercial users.
  • Experience in a technical support role in a commercial/B2B environment through working within a hi-tech product development organisation with sales partners.
  • Specialist diploma and/or degree in electronic engineering discipline or equivalent level of experience.
  • Understanding of fundamental principles of RF.
  • Understanding of communications protocols (e.g., TCP), the Internet, routers, firewalls and proxy servers is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of DMR protocols including air interface, TDMA 2 slot applications for Tier I, II and III and TETRA 4 slot.
  • Strong analytical ability with a consistent and methodical approach able to identify trends and common issues.
  • Strong knowledge of RF analogue and digital Tier III systems and terminals.
  • Ticketing experience - e.g. ZenDesk or equivalent is helpful
