A large & well established manufacturing company located in Braintree, Essex are currently recruiting for a Sales Estimator. This is a permanent role, paying between £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience).
Overview Of The Role
As a Sales Estimator, you will be delivering technical quotations and engineering solutions for customers. You will be working closely with the technical sales and business development team internally. The role will involve working out engineering calculations as well as meeting with customers in person.
What does the position involve?
- Preparing detailed quotations where required
- Producing calculations using the company software and manufacturing data provided
- Offering technical support to customers throughout the quotation process
- Speaking with suppliers externally and staff internally to ensure that quotes are as competitive and accurate as possible
- Provide exception customer service to customers
- Dealing with technical and commercial enquiries that would come through via email or phone
- Ensuring that accurate notes are being maintained on the database internally
- Helping the wider sales team with technical advice and product knowledge where applicable

Candidate Requirements
- Prior background within an engineering/technical sales or estimating is required
- Able to manage multiple quotations and deadlines
- Ability to understand technical/engineering specifications
- Strong engineering/technical aptitude
- Must be well organised, a good communicator and a team player
- Knowledge of drive systems would be advantageous
