Elior Stadia – Bringing the Buzz to Matchdays & More
Easter Road Stadium is one of Edinburgh's most recognisable venues, hosting everything from conferences and corporate meetings to private celebrations, exhibitions and matchday hospitality.
We’re looking for a commercially driven Venue Sales & Events Manager who can identify opportunities, win new business and manage the customer journey from initial enquiry through to confirmed event. We welcome applications from candidates with experience in stadiums, hotels, conference venues, visitor attractions or other events-led hospitality environments.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the excitement of winning business and the satisfaction of delivering a seamless booking experience. Alongside proactive sales activity, you’ll be responsible for proposals, contracts, event documentation, CRM management and ensuring every booking is accurately managed and handed over to operations.
Success in this role requires a balance of strong sales ability, excellent organisation and a genuine passion for creating outstanding client experiences.
What you’ll be doing…
This is a varied role where you’ll be responsible for driving new business, managing client relationships and overseeing the sales process from initial enquiry through to event confirmation.
- Play a key role in growing conference, events and hospitality revenue at Easter Road Stadium while ensuring every client receives an exceptional experience.
- Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities across corporate, private, charity and community markets.
- Manage a pipeline of conference, events and hospitality enquiries, converting opportunities into confirmed bookings.
- Create tailored proposals, quotations and contracts that meet client requirements and maximise revenue opportunities.
- Conduct venue tours and client meetings, showcasing the unique event spaces and hospitality offering at Easter Road Stadium.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event agencies, community organisations and key stakeholders.
- Take ownership of the customer journey, ensuring a seamless experience from initial enquiry through to event handover.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, event documentation and administrative processes.
- Work closely with operations and catering teams to ensure events are planned effectively and delivered successfully.
- Represent the venue at networking events, exhibitions and industry functions, promoting Easter Road Stadium as a leading events destination.
- Monitor market activity and identify opportunities to grow revenue, increase occupancy and attract new clients.
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales, revenue and activity targets while maintaining high standards of customer service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
