Sales Executive

Ian Williams has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Executive, based in the South West to join our Direct Sales team.

In this role, you’ll focus on building strong client relationships face to face, identifying new opportunities, and driving enquiry flow growth across our painting product.

At Ian Williams, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality services and creating lasting partnerships from the very first interaction. We’re looking for a proactive individual who enjoys building connections, understanding client needs, and working strategically to increase enquiry flow, while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.

  • Identifying and building on client opportunities outside traditional procurement routes
  • Generating a consistent pipeline of qualified leads and meetings
  • Working nationally with business units to fill order book gaps and drive growth
  • Creating and supporting high-quality proposals and presentations
  • Promoting Ian Williams Painting product to existing and new clients
  • Collaborating with the Direct Sales team to align activity and maximise opportunities
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
  • Representing the business at industry events and networking opportunities
  • Keeping CRM systems updated and managing your pipeline effectively

What will you bring to the Sales Executive role?

  • Proven ability in business development, and account management
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Commercially aware with a target-driven mindset
  • Organised, proactive, and confident communicator
  • Experience managing key accounts
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Experience within construction, property, or facilities management, with knowledge of painting services, would be beneficial
