Sales Executive

About the Role

Continental Alloys & Services Ltd, a leading global supplier of steel products and precision sub-contract engineering services to the energy industry, are seeking a Sales Executive to grow their team and drive sales in Peterhead.

Based primarily at our Peterhead site, this role may also involve visits to customer sites and hybrid remote working as required. Ideally, previous experience in a machine shop or steel sales background would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and establish new and existing customer relationships
  • Identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions
  • Prepare, process, and negotiate quotations and orders
  • Develop and execute sales plans and strategies to enhance revenue growth
  • Lead customer engagement from initial lead generation through to deal closure
  • Analyse market trends and customer feedback to pinpoint opportunities for improvement

Requirements

  • Ideal candidate:
    • Background in machine shop operations or steel sales (preferred)
    • Preference for knowledge of oilfield steel grades
  • Essential:
    • Minimum 2 years of sales experience
    • Proficiency in toymachine shop processes or metallurgy
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong customer-facing abilities
    • Clear and confident telephone presence
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication
    • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work collaboratively
    • Ability for self-management, prioritisation, and initiative
    • Attention to detail and strong memory retention skills
    • Basic computer literacy
