Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Salary: £26k - £30k + Bonus
Location: Elton (Peterborough) (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to join a growing sales team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop a career in sales within a premium, consultative environment.
This is a lead qualification role rather than a closing position. You'll be responsible for speaking with prospective customers, building rapport, understanding their requirements, and qualifying opportunities before handing them over to Senior Sales Executives to complete the sales process.
Full training will be provided, along with a clear progression pathway into a senior sales role for those who consistently perform and demonstrate the right attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound and handle inbound calls to warm and qualify prospective customers.
- Build strong relationships with clients through professional, consultative conversations.
- Understand each customer's needs, motivations, and buying requirements through active listening.
- Qualify opportunities based on agreed criteria, including budget, timescales, and suitability.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, ensuring every interaction and follow-up is logged.
- Schedule and manage follow-up activity to ensure no opportunities are missed.
- Provide detailed handovers of qualified opportunities to Senior Sales Executives.
- Develop a strong understanding of products, services, and the customer journey.
- Work closely with the wider sales team to continually improve lead quality and qualification processes.
- Represent the business professionally and deliver an exceptional first impression to every prospective customer.

About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys speaking to people, is naturally inquisitive, and thrives in a target-driven environment. You'll ideally have:
- Excellent communication and telephone skills.
- The ability to build rapport quickly and professionally.
- Strong listening and questioning skills.
- Good organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using CRM systems (preferred but not essential).
- A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Confidence working towards individual and team targets.
- A resilient, coachable mindset with a desire to develop your career.
