Sales Executive
Sales Executive – Full-time (37.5 hours/week) – Lancing and Hastings, East Sussex

Job Details
- Role: Sales Executive (Full-time, 37.5 hours/week)
- Hours: 08:30–17:00, Monday to Friday
- Salary: £28,000 annually (including monthly car allowance) + commission
- Location: Lancing & Hastings Office & Depot, East Sussex
- Job Type: Office & field-based (travel required to customer sites and operational hubs)
The Role
As our Sales Executive, you’ll play a key part in growing Recorra’s client base by:
- Winning new businesses via outbound prospecting (cold calling, face-to-face meetings) and inbound enquiries from the Commercial Team.
- Developing and presenting recycling solutions tailored to diverse client needs, highlighting why Recorra offers the most sustainable options.
- Collaborating with the Business Improvement District (BID) team to increase participation in recycling partnerships across key districts.
- Responsibilities include:
- Booking appointments, generating quotes, and upselling additional services.
- Conducting industry research and attending sector events.
- Tracking performance through CRM reporting.

Responsibilities
Key Duties Include:
- Partnering with the Commercial Team to convert inbound enquiries into new clients.
- Driving BID district saturation by engaging with local businesses for recycling partnerships.
- Managing client engagements, from appointment setting to proposal delivery.
- Maintaining accurate activity logs in CRM.
- Other company-wide tasks supporting operational and commercial success.
About You – Our Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for an ambitious, communicative, and self-driven individual who thrives in sales:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication – able to adapt tone for diverse stakeholders.
- A listener with problem-solving skills – understanding client pain points and offering strategic solutions.
- Natural charisma with a passion for building meaningful relationships.
- Highly autonomous and self-motivated, with a background or enthusiasm for career growth in sales or sustainability.
- Optional knowledge areas:
- Familiarity with CRM systems.
- Advanced Excel skills (a plus).
- Essential:
- Valid UK driving licence + access to a company-compatible vehicle.
