Sales Executive


About the Role

We’re recruiting for an ambitious and experienced Sales Executive to join our hard-working and friendly team at Newcastle Renault, specialising in either new car or used car sales.

A key member of our passionate sales team, you’ll excel at customer service, enabling buyers to enjoy their dream vehicles. Your role requires exceptional communication skills and a commitment to building strong relationships—with customers and colleagues alike.

More than just great sales, we’re looking for a team player with a results-driven mindset. While we prefer candidates with prior experience in retail, sales, or the automotive industry, we’re open to fresh talent—especially those with a UK driving license.


Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Communicate effectively via email, phone, and in-person to understand and meet customer needs.
  • Vehicle Matching: Recommend suitable vehicles based on each customer’s requirements and budget.
  • Experience & Consultation: Arrange and accompany customers on test drives.
  • Sales & Negotiation: Close deals with confidence, ensuring fair final pricing for wins.
  • Transaction Support: Complete all paperwork for new car/MRHP sales.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with finance, parts, and multi-trade teams for seamless customer journeys.

Requirements

  • Proven Sales Experience: Prefer candidates with automotive, retail, or customer-focused experience (non-mandatory).
  • Licence: Full UK driving license required.
  • Personality: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
  • Time Commitment:
    • October - March: Monday-Friday (8:30 AM – 6:00 PM), Sat-Sun (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Ethernet) with rotating weekday off/weekend shifts.
    • April - September: Thursday & Friday evenings (Closed 6 PM) to cater servicing requirements.
  • Sale Targets: Commitment to monthly sales targets for new and used cars.

  • OTE: Up to £50,000/annum including:
    • £25,000 basic salary
    • Uncapped commission structure
