Sales Executive (New or Used Car Sales)

Contract & Salary
- Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
- Salary: OTE up to £50,000 per annum (including £25,000 base + uncapped commission) plus company car
- Working Hours:
- Weekdays (Mon-Fri): 08:30 - 18:00
- Saturday: 09:00 - 17:00
- Sunday: 11:00 - 15:00
- One day off per week; weekends on a rota basis
About the Role
Chester Renault is recruiting for an ambitious and experienced Sales Executive to join our hardworking and friendly team. Specialising in either new car or used car sales, you will work alongside our passionate sales team to deliver first-class customer service.
As a Sales Executive, you’ll be a key point of contact for customers, demonstrating exceptional communication skills to build strong relationships with both colleagues and clients. Your role involves understanding customer needs and providing tailor-made solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicating with customers via email, telephone, and in-person appointments
- Suggesting and presenting suitable vehicle options that match customer needs
- Arranging and accompanying customers on test drives
- Negotiating and finalising sale prices
- Completing post-sale administration and paperwork efficiently
- Collaborating with various departments across the dealership to ensure seamless customer service

Essential Qualities & Skills
- Strong communication skills – ability to engage politely and professionally with customers
- Self-motivated and driven – eager to achieve sales targets and reject no opportunities
- Passionate about automotive – that enthusiasm matters!
- Team player – collaborative, friendly, and supportive of colleagues
Preferred Experience
- Previous sales experience, ideally in the automotive or retail sector
- Knowledge of the car market (not mandatory, but beneficial)
Requirements & Expectations
- Full UK driving licence (as you may be test-driving high-end luxury vehicles)
- Solid work ethic – flexibility to work weekend shifts when required
- Ability to meet sales targets – commission-based earnings maximise potential income
