About The Role
Join the friendly and supportive team at Gatwick Honda as a Parts Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual to play a key role within our aftersales department, ensuring customers and technicians receive the right parts at the right time.
As a Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for managing parts enquiries, maintaining stock accuracy, and delivering exceptional service to both retail and trade customers. Working within a busy dealership environment, you will become an important part of the team, helping to keep our workshop and customers moving.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.00pm with one Saturday in three paid as overtime.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Receiving, checking, and storing parts deliveries
- Maintaining accurate stock records and carrying out stock checks
- Preparing and issuing parts to workshop technicians
- Serving retail and trade customers both face-to-face and over the telephone
- Identifying and sourcing the correct parts using manufacturer systems
- Processing customer orders and arranging deliveries where required
- Supporting merchandising and promotional displays within the parts department
- Working closely with service, sales, and workshop teams to ensure parts availability
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient parts department
- Ensuring all parts transactions are processed accurately and in line with company procedures
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication and organisational skills. Previous experience in a parts, automotive, retail, warehouse, or customer service environment would be beneficial, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Helpful Qualities Include
- Previous experience in a parts advisor or customer-facing role (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and administrative abilities
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail
- A positive and proactive attitude
- Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred
