Sales Executive
As Sales Executive you will proactively develop new customer relationships, manage opportunities from current and new customers and close deals professionally in a way that increases KONE’s equipment in service and profitability. This position is entirely new business sales within lifts. Whilst you do not need to have previous experience in the lift industry, this role would particularly suit someone who can sell with confidence and maturity, is digitally aware, and comfortable with communicating complex information/proposals to a wide range of private and public sector stakeholders including Managing Agents, FM’s, industry experts and everyone in-between.
This role is suited to someone who can open doors and create opportunity in the market, so you will be hungry for success, collaborative in your approach and able to influence both internal and external stakeholders at all levels as well as building sustainable partnerships.
For this position you would be expected to be on the road at least 3 days a week meeting customers, engineers and operations. This position will cover customers north of the river Thames and will cover inside the M25 and Essex.
Key responsibilities:
- Customer Relationship Management
- Proactively develops and creates customer relationships in their areas of responsibility.
- Accountable for developing KONE position in your customer base or market area.
- Creates and communicates leads and sales opportunities for entire KONE sales team (e.g., cross-selling)
- Documents the customer and contact information, maintains customer data.

- Sell
- Accountable for leads, opportunities, orders, and contracts to meet the sales targets.
- Validates that the contents of the order received from the customer are in line with the negotiation process outcome, including terms and conditions, quality, and safety.
- Accountable for hand-over to Portfolio Managers and maintenance operations with complete and correct information.
- Maintains full information of opportunities, tasks, and visits.
- Timely and accurate reporting.
- Some cold calling will be required.
Skills and experience required:
- Previous experience and results in Sales and customer relationship management.
- Experience in wining and growing new service contracts is desirable.
- Mastering customer contacts, presentations, and negotiations, closing deals, tendering process, aftersales activities, basic knowledge of contractual and financial terms.
- Industry experience is desirable, but not essential; enthusiasm in your approach to new business is more important.
- Good presentation skills.
- Proficient IT skills, CRM (Salesforce).
- Good knowledge of the English language (written and spoken).
