Imperial Recruitment Group are delighted to announce that we are working as an exclusive retained partnership with Made for Trade, the UK’s largest and most respected manufacturers of aluminium roof lanterns and bi-folding doors. Due to the expansion at the head office in Wynyard, we are looking to recruit a Sales Executive on a permanent basis.
LOCATION: Wynyard
SALARY: £27,662.40 per annum, plus commission
LENGTH OF CONTRACT: Permanent
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Telesales Executive plays a key role in supporting the delivery of Made For Trade's sales strategy through proactive business development, customer engagement, and revenue generation.
The role is responsible for:
- Qualifying new opportunities
- Increasing revenue from existing accounts
- Re-engaging dormant customers
- Executing sales projects across our customer base
Working closely with the New Business Sales Manager, the Telesales Executive will:
- Proactively engage with customers and prospects to understand their needs
- Identify opportunities
- Gather market intelligence
- Drive sales performance
The role requires a highly motivated, target-driven individual who is confident making outbound calls and can demonstrate a track record in building relationships and converting opportunities into sales.
DUTIES ARE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Sales & Business Development
- Contact all leads with basic evaluation and follow up actions to MFT process.
- Convert leads into active customers - Identify customer requirements and recommend appropriate Made For Trade products.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, prospects, and key stakeholders.
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets, KPIs, and conversion rates.
- Conduct outbound cold calls to targeted customers to generate new business opportunities.
- Support New Business Sales Manager in delivering the overall sales strategy and achieving business growth objectives.
- Arrange product demonstrations, customer visits, and showroom appointments where appropriate.
- Support exhibitions, trade events, customer training, and occasionally site visits.

Strategic Sales Development
- Analyse customer purchasing trends and identify reductions in sales activity or product volumes.
- Engage with customers to understand reasons for declining sales and implement actions to recover lost business.
- Conduct account reviews to identify opportunities for product diversification and increased customer spend.
- Identify and re-engage dormant or inactive accounts with the objective of winning back business.
- Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to support business improvement and product development initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with the New Business Sales Manager to develop targeted sales campaigns and growth initiatives.
- Promote specific products and campaigns in line with business priorities and sales objectives.
Customer Relationship Management
- Act as a first point of contact for new prospects and ensure account management is right-sized.
- Maintain regular contact with designated account customers to ensure satisfaction and identify future opportunities.
- Build long-term relationships that encourage customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Resolve customer sales queries efficiently and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Ensure customers are fully onboarded to MFT process.
Reporting & Administration
- Accurately maintain customer records and sales activity within the CRM system.
- Record all customer interactions, opportunities, and follow-up actions.
- Produce reports and updates as required by the Sales Manager.
- Monitor sales performance against targets and KPIs.
- Adhere to all internal policies, procedures, and company standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the sales function.

Product & Industry Knowledge
- A good understanding of Made For Trade's products, manufacturing processes, and market position is essential to the role.
- The successful candidate will develop detailed product knowledge to confidently promote solutions, identify opportunities, and support customer requirements.
Experience & Skills:
Essential
- Minimum one year's experience in a telesales, sales development, business development, or account management role.
- Proven experience of outbound cold calling and lead generation.
- Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Target-driven with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Competent using Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
- Commercial awareness and a passion for achieving results.
Desirable
- Experience within construction, fenestration, or building products.
- Experience of working within a business-to-business sales environment.
- Knowledge of windows, doors, glazing, or related products.
