Sales Executive - Mid Market

About the Role
Join our ever-evolving SMB sales team at Worldpay, one of the world’s leading payments providers, and help shape the future of global commerce.
You’ll promote world-class SME payment solutions while growing your career in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a Sales Executive, you’ll drive revenue, build client relationships, and seize market opportunities.
What You’ll Own
You’ll be tasked with:
- Achieving monthly sales targets aligned to overall company objectives
- Developing monthly strategy and business plans for innovative ideas to attract new business and extend market share
- Driving new business development, proactively managing an own pipeline populated predominantly by self-generated leads using Salesforce
- Building professional relationships locally via business forums, networks, and events
- Expanding a network of introducers, ensuring Worldpay is the first choice for all referrals
- Applying the Worldpay sales methodology, including:
- Identifying customer needs
- Proposing tailored solutions
- Negotiating and aligning pricing and terms
- Selling multiple Worldpay products to new SME customers, including:
- Standalone and integrated POS systems (face-to-face sales)
- E-commerce solutions Target customer turnover range: Annual CTO turnover between £250k – £3m with card turnover within defined territory
- Identifying cross-selling opportunities, driving revenue growth in line with pricing policies

What You’ll Bring
- A valid full UK driving licence
- Proven experience in targeted B2B field sales (essential: Merchant Sales Experience)
- Experience and confidence in selling to C-level executives
- A consultative, solution-focused, negotiation, and communication-driven approach
- Ability to operate effectively in a high-energy, fast-paced workplace with flexibility
- Self-driven with minimal supervision needs, yet team-oriented
- Ambitious and career-focused, with a professional outlook and high integrity
- Experience with consultative selling methodologies
- Prior success selling in and winning market share in the **mid-market segment Understanding/proven knowledge of the payments market
