Sales Executive – Mid Market

About the Role

What You’ll Own
You’ll drive forward revenue by:
- Meeting monthly sales targets aligned with overall company objectives.
- Creating a monthly strategy and business plan to:
- Attract new business.
- Extend market share.
- Generate and proactively manage your pipeline of predominantly self-generated leads in Salesforce.
- Building strong professional relationships across your local business network by:
- Joining business forums.
- Attending networking events.
- Cultivating a network of introducers to ensure WorldPay is the preferred choice for all referrals.
- Applying the WorldPay sales methodology to:
- Identify customer needs.
- Propose solutions.
- Negotiate and secure best terms for both company and customer.
- Actively selling across multiple WorldPay products—including:
- Face-to-face Standalone and integrated POS systems.
- E-commerce solutions.
- Targeting new SME customers within a defined territory, with recurring turnover of £250k–£3m in card transactions.
- Identifying upselling opportunities aligned with pricing policy to drive long-term revenue growth.

Responsibilities
- You’ll earn autonomy within your role, focusing on evolving mid-market sales strategies daily.
- Closing deals involves self-motivation and team collaboration for optimal market penetration.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for an experienced B2B professional with commercial drive: a self-starter who delivers results with confidence. Ideally:
- Full UK/GB driving license (essential for business travel).
- Merchant sales experience—essential. Demonstrated expertise in mid-market B2B clienteling.
- C-level comfort—able to engage with senior decision-makers.
- A highly consultative approach, with mastered skills in:
- Solution selling
- Negotiation
- Field persuasion
- Ability to operate boldly in a fast-paced, agile environment—with flexibility and adaptability.
- Prolific problem solver—building trusted relationships based on strict integrity.
- Proven track record of achieving audacious targets aligned to mid-market demand.
- Industry awareness of the payments sector, noticing gaps your solutions can resolve.
