Job Summary
At Marriott’s Aloft Hotels, we’re seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Senior Central Reservationist (Event Specialties) to join our Sales & Marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries, disputes, and service requests received by phone, voice mail, social media (e.g., @marriottreserve), or email.
- Use proven sales techniques to maximize revenue while ensuring guest loyalty by up-selling when appropriate to the customer’s needs.
- Determine and distribute complementaries (e.g., bonus Rewards® points, gift certificates, or show tickets) per company guidelines.
- Collect dreams (property/product desired, departure date, group size, and preferred room type).
- Manage requests for the redemption of Marriott Rewards® points.
- Take ownership of reservations, including incoming calls, changes, cancellations, and price enquiries, setting the standard for customer service excellence at the central reservations level and beyond.
- Enter member information into the reservations system, including Marriott Rewards® points and status information for current account holders.
- Be proactive and create client contact strategy and follow-up action plans based on customer needs to maintain ongoing business relationships.

General Support Duties
- Provide administrative support to the Sales & Marketing team, including coordinating packages, messages, coupons, and any other necessary enquiries.
- Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the reservations and hotel departments.
- Support company policies and procedures, ensure a clean and professional dress code/appereance, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Welcome and acknowledge incoming calls, questions, and concerns with a polite, professional, and personalized approach.
Key Work Relationships
- Ensure front-desk hotel team is fully aware of the message a caller has received and ensure readiness to follow the promised action on the same day where possible.

Qualifications and Skills
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong computer and telecommunications skills are essential.
- Prefer at least 2 years of related work experience.
Additional Skills and Qualities:
- Fluent ability in written and spoken English required.
- Familiarity with Marriott’s reservation and booking system (e.g., Ocludes, Cungs) preferred.
- Must have confidence in professionally handling inquiries involving large groups, hotel promotion.
