The successful candidate will be responsible for selling the full Thomson Reuters legal portfolio, including Westlaw, Practical Law, and CoCounsel, to legal teams operating in environments where budgets are tightly controlled and value-for-money is critical. The role targets organisations that are facing the dual challenge of budgetary pressure and increasing workload demands and plays a key role in demonstrating how Thomson Reuters' legal and AI-enabled solutions can help teams improve efficiency, manage risk, and maintain quality under pressure. We are looking for a consultative, value-led seller who can understand customer challenges and tailor solutions to meet organisational needs. Success in this role will depend on the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, identify opportunities, build credibility with key stakeholders, and clearly articulate return on investment and value.

About the Role

  • Conduct consultative discovery to understand customer priorities, operational pressures, and budget constraints
  • Position Thomson Reuters solutions as practical tools to support legal teams under workload and resource strain
  • Demonstrate the value of AI-enabled solutions in improving efficiency, productivity, and legal service delivery
  • Tailor propositions, demonstrations, and commercial discussions to the needs of public sector customers
  • Navigate procurement, budget approval, and stakeholder engagement processes effectively
  • Build trusted relationships with legal, procurement, and operational stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline visibility, and forecasting discipline

About You:

To be considered for the role of Sales Executive, you will have:

  • Proven success in new business sales and customer acquisition
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover customer needs and align solutions accordingly
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to articulate value clearly in budget-conscious environments
  • Strong commercial judgment and ability to build business cases for investment
  • Confidence selling a portfolio of products or solutions
  • Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
  • Resilient, proactive, and highly self-motivated
  • Ability to navigate structured buying, procurement, or governance processes effectively
  • Experience in Government, Public Sector, legal, SaaS, information services, or technology sales is advantageous
  • Understanding of the pressures facing in-house legal and public sector teams is desirable
  • Comfortable demonstrating technology and explaining the practical value of AI-enabled solutions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
