Position: Sales Executive
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent, on-site (with regular working from St Albans (Queens House) and field visits) Location: 4 New Concordia Wharf, Mill Street, London SE1 2BB

By removing additives such as emulsifiers, sweeteners, colourings, and ultra-processed elements (like refined oils), Emma Basic prioritises transparency, safety, and well-being, offering wholesome, high-quality food that supports healthier living.
Despite its small but high-performing team of just 10, the company achieves annual revenues of £10 million. Core markets include the UK, EU, and the Far East.

Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Achieve agreed sales and margin targets across both new and existing accounts.
- Proactively develop new customers in key sectors:
- Fitness clubs
- Delicatessens
- Farm shops
- Foodservice providers
- Ready-meal manufacturers
- Maintain and strengthen existing relationships through disciplined account management.
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events, gathering actionable insights on customers and competitors.
- Contribute to brand evolution by:
- Handling complaints effectively (in line with BRCGS Standard 3.8)
- Benchmarking competitors
- Inspecting products and feeding insights to buying and technical teams
- Deliver after-sales support:
- Record and communicate customer complaints
- Agree corrective/preventative actions
- Ensure customer satisfaction post-resolution
- Collaborate on stock management:
- Work with the buying team on stock levels
- Forecast demand with precision
- Alert to customer usage changes to prevent out-of-stock issues or write-offs

Competencies & Requirements
Essential:
- Commercially assertive: Focused on revenue growth, proactive engagement, win mentality, and exceeding targets before being held accountable.
- Dedicated and trustworthy: Show responsibility towards customers, colleagues, and company standards. Excellent two-way communication.
- Attention to detail: Efficiency in handling pricing, contracts, payment terms, and SAP entries with first-time accuracy.
- Food-literate: Strong interest in ingredients, sustainability, and food safety. Familiarity with:
- BRC Issue 9
- HACCP principles (or quick willingness to upskill).

What We Offer
Competitive Remuneration
- Basic salary range: £31,000 – £40,000, based on speed and proven ability to secure new business—not just experience.
- Quarterly incentive: Tied to year-on-year gross profit growth.
- Year-end bonus: Performance-based (both individual and company contributions).
