Sales Lead
Sales Lead – Medical Cannabis (Wholesaler)
About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Lead to join a fast-growing medical cannabis wholesaler operating within the UK market. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for:
- Driving revenue growth
- Developing key customer relationships
- Expanding market share
- Leading the execution of the company’s commercial strategy
The successful candidate will work closely with clinics, pharmacies, distributors, and industry stakeholders, maximising sales opportunities while ensuring compliance in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities
Commercial Growth
- Deliver sales revenue, margin, and growth targets
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across:
- Clinics
- Pharmacies
- Wholesalers
- Healthcare providers
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and forecast future performance
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
Key Account Management
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key customers and strategic accounts
- Lead negotiations on commercial agreements and supply arrangements
- Identify opportunities to increase product penetration within existing accounts
- Drive account growth through category and portfolio management

Customer Engagement
- Act as a trusted partner to clinics, pharmacies, and prescribing organisations
- Present new product launches, promotions, and commercial initiatives
- Gather customer insights to support portfolio development and decision-making
Sales Leadership
- Support the development of sales processes, reporting, and performance management
- Mentor and coach junior sales personnel as the team grows
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, regulatory, and pharmacy teams
- Ensure excellent customer service
Compliance
- Operate in full compliance with all relevant:
- MHRA
- Home Office
- GDP (General Data Protection Regulation)
- Pharmaceutical wholesale regulations
- Conduct all commercial activities ethically and compliantly
Requirements
Essential
- Proven track record in B2B sales, account management, or business development
- Experience in managing strategic customer relationships and delivering revenue growth
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyse sales data and translate insights into action
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
Desirable
- Experience in medical cannabis, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, medical devices, or regulated healthcare sectors
- Existing relationships with UK medical cannabis clinics, pharmacies, or wholesalers
- Understanding of UK medical cannabis supply chains and market dynamics
- Experience in launching new products into healthcare markets
