About Scrumconnect Consulting
Scrumconnect Consulting is a multi-award-winning UK public sector digital consultancy, positively influencing the lives of over forty million UK citizens. We bring deep expertise in agile delivery, digital transformation, and platform engineering across central government.
With a team of over one hundred and twenty-five professionals — more than forty percent of whom are women — we are committed to building inclusive, diverse teams that reflect the communities we serve.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sales Lead to drive new business sales across new and existing public sector accounts. This is a hunter role for a self-starter who thrives on opening doors, building a pipeline from scratch, and closing contracts against a clear target. You will bring a strong understanding of how the government procures technology and consulting services, and a track record of navigating multiple departments to win work. You will work closely with our bid, capability, and delivery teams to shape propositions, respond to opportunities, and convert relationships into signed contracts.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Proactively identify, prospect, and generate new sales opportunities across UK central government, local government, health, and other public sector bodies
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of new logo and new contract opportunities from first contact through to close
- Open conversations with departments Scrumconnect has not previously worked with, as well as identifying new opportunities within existing accounts
- Lead commercial discussions and contract negotiations to closure

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
