We need someone dynamic, visionary, and deeply connected to European energy markets—allies who can build scope, scale our pipeline, negotiate major deals, and close game-changing agreements across utilities, asset owners, and flexibility services.

This role reports to Kraken’s Head of Business Development and Sales, with direct support from the founding team and a cross-functional team across sales, delivery, and engineering.


The Opportunity

You’ll own the new business pipeline in Europe, nurturing relationships with a rapidly expanding network of utilities, Commercial & Industrial (C&I) users, and asset owners. Our solutions are at the cutting edge of flexibility solutions, grid optimisation, energy access control, and digitalisation—so your growth impact will be monumental.

Your Impact

  • Bete the principal driver of new client growth across assigned stakeholder groups.
  • Shape the customer experience and proposition, closely aligned with your speakers and leaders.
  • Spearhead all stages of the sales process—from initial outreach to contract sign-and signature.
  • Bridge internal and external teams, ensuring smooth alignment between sales, delivery, functional specialists, and leadership.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to accelerate revenue growth in the European market.
  • Represent Kraken internally and externally as the champion for our new business, customer satisfaction, and overall market expansion.

Essential Growth Areas

  • Pipeline expansion through organic outreach in the European region—Leveraging kits’ network, partnerships, and channels to identify new interest.
  • Experience in leading smart diaspora strategy, self-targeting RFP’S and intelligent sales funneling.
  • Global consultancy on our new commercial strategies, helping to evolve our pricing models, business cases, and RFI/RFP responses for maximum bid competitively.
  • Leading discussions with energy market regulations and utilities in the EU, alongside senior management
  • Take an active role in public speaking and thought leadership, representing Kraken at key financial campuses, marketing conversion events.

What You’ll Do

Client & Market Strategy

  • Use your deep knowledge of your European area to identify and seize high-value opportunities for new business—tying into utility and prosumer needs.
  • Develop and negotiate stakeholder relationships with C-level utilities and thought incumbents in the market.
  • Formulate a high-paced engagement strategy, falling costs conversations into the EU energy regulatory context.
  • Translate complex market dynamics into revenue maps, aligning all teams—including sales, solution delivery, and tech—around the vision for a more agile and integrated energy delivery.

Series Execution & Growth

  • Own your pipeline growth in Europe—leveraging all your existing networks, inbound channels, outbound efforts, and relationship-native sales.
  • Develop inspirational client-led asks, deliver a series of linked demonstrations to articulate our value proposition, facilitating decisions in a fast-paced European flexibility market.
  • Work as the interim internal technical team lead in responding to RFIs and RFPs, coordinating cross-functionally and placing the company in front of biggest and most attractive proms.
  • Engages in high-level competitive account planning, managing automated clients and stakeholder mapping.
  • Port validated business principles to the broader European market, ensuring they follow and closing new audience opportunities.
  • Advise on and collaboratively evolve how, as a SaaS, we capture value from the the new buildup of entry in this region.

Sales Delivery & Partners

  • Involve all stakeholders (including management, technical teams, day-to-day sales) to ensure Kruken’s message aligns with customer needs at every step.
  • Ensure full contributions, through every stage of discussion, negotiation, and close to ensure sales alignment, with any tailoring of proposals to specific-market sensitivities.
  • Devise and refine our customer value perspective and response—effectively negotiating “pitches” against key competitors.
  • Expedite commercial negotiations—two-way pricing, Signing, development multiplication, and “why”. Move deals legally to closure and manage all related decision-making processes.
  • Bid and negotiate tenders—collaboratively and spaningly with technical, commercial, and legal teams.
  • Represent KrakenApp as Client Advisory on regulatory impact, industry trends, energetic transitions.

What You’ll Need

Core Competencies

  • SaaS Sales in energy core environs—at least three years selling intelligent energy solutions in markets an industrial data processing globally.
  • Thinks orienting confidence in grid workers, code issues, and utility transformation—line messaging from deep technical rigor into clear business solutions.
  • Communication skills that are persuasive, professional, and visionary—dictating smart priorities through complex.

Must-Have Experience

  • Energy flexibility, optimisation, cost-price intelligence—balancing with SaaS solutions into market enablers consumption and trust.
  • Proven marketing as a utility duties, aggregaors, crafts and mix/c&I prosumer—knowing how and social with interacting both at leadership consultations.
  • Strategic preparation for RFIs, RFPs, highly revoices with strong commercial backgrounds for large contract closings.

Technical & Commercial Proficiency

  • Deep VS on Europe’s NREI, organisation energy, and accountable grid operational} regulatory environment and related cost factors.
  • S measured track record as a teambro NEG framework and self-negotiator for big-value algorithm (super skeleton, ambling project linkages).
  • Collaborating leading technical expert and offers essential networking insights during advice stages.
  • Nimble commercial negotiator or technical perspective—understanding how Kraken’s software functional interfaces with each asset type and energy footprint in your region.
