Sales Lead
Senior Commercial Director (SaMD/Pharmaceuticals) – Medical Cannabis Sector
Salary: £60,000 base + bonus (OTE £130,000)
Location: Hybrid (UK travel required)
About the Role
An opportunity to build and scale one of the UK’s fastest-growing healthcare businesses in the medical cannabis sector.
We’re looking for a commercial powerhouse—someone who thrives on driving growth, winning strategic partnerships, and shaping the future of wholesale healthcare distribution for high-quality, evidence-backed therapies.
This isn’t standard sales—you’ll own pivotal commercial relationships, influence wholesale strategy, and collaborate closely with senior leadership on expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial Growth
- Deliver against revenue, margin, and growth targets
- Design and implement strategic sales plans aligned to company objectives
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across:
- Clinics
- Pharmacies
- Wholesalers
- Healthcare providers
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline with accurate projections
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to capitalise on opportunities

Key Account Management
- Develop long-term relationships with high-value customers
- Lead negotiations for commercial agreements and supply contracts
- Drive account upselling and portfolio expansion
- Deeply understand customer needs to enhance product penetration
Customer Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to clinics, pharmacies, and prescribing organisations
- Present new product launches, promotions, and initiatives
- Gather customer insights to refine offerings and strategy
Sales Leadership
- Lead sales process development, reporting, and performance management
- Mentor and coach junior sales teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, logistics, regulatory, and pharmacy teams for seamless operations
Compliance & Strategic Oversight
- Ensure all activities adhere to MHRA, Home Office, GDP, and pharmaceutical wholesale regulations
- Foster ethical commercial operations

Essentials
✔ Proven B2B sales, account management, or business development experience ✔ Track record of driving revenue growth through strategic relationships ✔ Sharp commercial acumen and fierce negotiation skills ✔ Ability to analyse sales data and translate insights into action ✔ Exceptional communication and stakeholder management ✔ Self-motivated, confident in fast-paced environments ✔ Full UK driving licence (travel requirement)
