The UK and Ireland market is a major strategic priority. We already have an established customer base across these markets in the garden centre sector. The opportunity ahead is vast:
- Expanding wallet share within existing accounts
- Winning new garden centre business across the UK
- Growing our presence in the pet retail vertical, where we are gaining traction on the continent
The Opportunity
We are hiring a Sales Lead - UK to drive new business growth across both the UK and Ireland.
Key Points:
- Full-cycle sales role for an experienced hunter
- Prospect, qualify, demo, and close new customers.
- Primary focus on the garden centre vertical, with growing opportunity in pet retail.
- Own the UK/Ireland market, with an existing customer base within garden centres.
- Responsibilities:
- Expanding your founded skillset through the allocation of new logo acquisition.
- Growth within existing accounts via expansion selling.
- Bringing back former customers (win-backs).
- Extending NedFox into adjacent verticals, starting with pet retail.
This role reports directly to the CEO of NedFox. You will combine account ownership with new market development — your success will directly shape the company’s UK growth trajectory.
What You’ll Do
Drive New Business Growth
- Own the full sales cycle in UK and Ireland markets from prospecting through close to customer handoff.
- Engage with prospective customers through:
- Outbound calls
- Email outreach
- Trade shows
- Industry associations.
- Conduct discovery calls and on-site visits to:
- Understand workflows and pain points specific to garden centres and retail businesses.
- Gain insights into technology needs.
- Deliver compelling product demos for RetailVista, emphasizing:
- Return On Investment (ROI)
- Efficiency gains
- Potential revenue impact.
- Manage proposals, negotiations, and contract execution to consistently close new deals.
- Seamlessly hand off new customers to onboarding and support teams for successful activation and go-live.

Build and Maintain Pipeline
- Manage and expand the existing customer base in the UK/Ireland.
- Build new marketing pipeline targeting at least 3x quarterly quota coverage.
- Log activities, deal stages, and forecast data accurately in the CRM (SaleMate/HubSpot).
- Participate in:
- Weekly pipeline reviews
- Deal inspections
- Forecast calls with leadership.
- Use prospecting tools like Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar to build targeted account lists with segment and geographic precision.
Represent NedFox in the UK Market
- Attend UK trade shows:
- GIMA
- Garden centre trade fairs
- Pet Industry Federation events.
- Build relationships with:
- Industry associations
- Buying groups
- Distribution partners for market access acceleration.
- Provide structured market feedback to product and leadership regarding:
- Competitive landscape
- Buyer needs
- Pricing sensitivity
- Feature gaps.
What Success Looks Like
In the First 90 Days
- Complete product training to deliver a compelling unabhängig RetailVista demo.
- Meet existing UK/Ireland customers, understanding their usage and expansion potential.
- Develop a target account list of 100+ prospects segmented by:
- Garden centre
- Pet retail
- Specialty retail.
- Achieve consistent weekly cadence in outbound prospecting to drive:
- Qualified discovery calls
- Product demos.
- Close your first new customers:
- Either new logos
- Or expansion within existing accounts.
- Ensure CRM activity and pipeline tracking are conducted accurately and visible to leadership.
In 6–12 Months
- Consistently meet and exceed quarterly new business targets, while building predictable pipeline.
- Continue growing the UK customer base and strengthening NedFox’s brand presence in:
- UK garden centres
- Initiating entry into pet retail.
- Develop repeatable sales playbooks including:
- Talk tracks
- Objection handling specific to the UK market.
- Provide actionable market intelligence, informing:
- Product roadmap decisions
- Go-to-market strategy.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- A 5+ year track record of proven success in B2B SaaS new business sales, including a record of closing deals.
- Hunter mentality: actively own the generation of your own pipeline through outbound activity (inbound reliance is not expected).
- Hands-on experience managing a full sales cycle, from first contact to contract execution.
- Experience with discovery calls and solution-based sales conversations, focusing on connecting product capabilities to business outcomes.
- Familiarity with SMB and mid-market buyers, ideally involving:
- Owner-operators
- Operations managers as primary decision-makers.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms like HubSpot, Salesforce — disciplined and accurate in logging activity and maintaining pipeline coverage.
- Willingness to travel within the UK for:
- Customer visits
- Trade shows
- Industry events: approximately 20–30% travel time estimated.
