Sales Leader UK & Ireland (Dynamic & Commercially Driven Role)
Watts Water is seeking an ambitious Sales Leader (UK & Ireland) to accelerate growth in our HVAC & Controls and Plumbing business—with a strong emphasis on the WHO (Wholesale Ownership, Hybrid/Ownership, Operate) segment. The ideal candidate will lead strategic customer relationships, drive specification-driven sales, and execute commercial initiatives across the UK & Ireland market.
About the Role
This is a commercial leadership opportunity where strategy meets execution. The successful candidate will:
- Shape and implement the UK sales strategy for HVAC & Controls and Plumbing.
- Deliver sustainable sales growth and market share expansion.
- Build deep relationships with key customers, including consultants, installers, contractors, wholesalers, and specification partners.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, including vertical market strategies.
- Lead specification-driven sales and pull strategies to maximise market penetration.
- Align and collaborate with marketing, product management, customer service, and operations.
- Analyse market trends, competitors, and customer needs to inform growth initiatives.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and business reporting.
- Support pricing strategies and commercial negotiations.
- Coach and develop the UK commercial team (where applicable).
Responsibilities & Duties
- Drive the sales strategy and execution for Watts Water’s UK & Ireland HVAC & Plumbing portfolios.
- Maximise revenue through specification sales, project-driven mandates, and distribution partnerships.
- Monitor and report on commercial performance, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Ensure revenue growth aligns with company financial targets and operational KPIs.
- Manage direct reports: domestic Sales Manager and regional sales team.

Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 7–10 years of commercial experience within HVAC, plumbing, controls, water technologies, or building services.
- Proven sales leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and driving commercial performance.
- Deep understanding of the UK & Ireland HVAC and plumbing distribution landscape, including specification sales, wholesale channels, and contractor relationships.
Skills & Communication:
- Strong strategic thinking with a results-driven mindset.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Financial and commercial acumen, including budget management and sales forecasting.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced international matrix organisation.
- Full UK driving licence (essential for role requirements).
Experience, Skills & Qualities
- Proven commercial leadership in HVAC & Plumbing sectors.
- Strong WHO channel expertise and a deep knowledge of the UK market.
- Experience managing specification sales and project-driven deal structures.
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capabilities.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Results-oriented, with a focus on analytical problem-solving and negotiation.
