Sales Manager – UK (Intralogistics Solutions) Location: United Kingdom (Field-based) Region: Defined UK Territory Department: Solutions Division Type: Permanent, Full-time


### The Role

Drive new business growth and manage key accounts across a defined UK territory, delivering technical solutions, supporting customer specifications, and representing the company as a trusted partner across automation and engineered technology products.


### Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically confident Sales Manager to grow our Solutions division across the United Kingdom. This role blends new business development with strategic account management, supporting customers through the entire sales lifecycle—from specification and technical consultancy to commercial negotiation and delivery.

Working closely with internal teams across Products, Service, Sales Support, and R&D, you will act as the regional face of the business, ensuring customers receive expert guidance, high-quality solutions, and long-term value. This is a field-based role, requiring regular travel across the UK, plus occasional visits to production sites and European headquarters.


### Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Account Management

  • Drive new business development across end-users, integrators, consultants, OEMs, and other sales channels.
  • Manage and grow existing accounts, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Build a strong pipeline of opportunities aligned with the strategic direction of the Solutions division.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, technical discussions, and commercial negotiations.

Technical Consultancy & Specification Support

  • Provide technical advice and consultancy to customers, assisting with implementation of their specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to translate customer requirements into viable technical solutions.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution workshops.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal sales teams to ensure accurate quotations, pricing, delivery agreements, and commercial terms.
  • Coordinate with ASM Products and ASM Service to guarantee seamless customer support and solution delivery.
  • Maintain accurate customer and project information in SAP/CRM systems.

Market & Product Insight

  • Identify market trends, competitor activity, and buyer behaviour within the UK territory.
  • Provide structured feedback to Global Product Management and R&D to support new solution development and product enhancements.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, customer events, and industry forums.

### Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Recognised professional sales training and proven application of structured sales techniques.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical sales, ideally within:
    • Intralogistics or plant engineering
    • Drive technology or control engineering
    • Lighting, lighting controls, automation, or other specification-led technical products
  • Demonstrable track record in prospecting and winning new business.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to build long-term relationships.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and capable of managing a field-based role effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for technology.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and internationally for training and sales meetings.

Desirable

  • Experience selling into consultants, OEMs, or automation integrators.
  • Knowledge of SAP/CRM systems.
  • Understanding of specification-driven sales cycles and engineered solutions.
