Role Description

As Sales Manager at Patchwork London, you will oversee the full sales cycle—from opportunity identification, lead generation, quotations, order fulfilment, to after-sales support—for our audio equipment sales and installation projects. This is a highly proactive business development role, emphasising new business growth and expanding Patchwork London’s market presence in the live events, touring, and entertainment sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively identifying, pursuing, and developing new business opportunities and revenue streams.
  • Building relationships with prospective clients and converting them into long-term partnerships.
  • Managing and growing existing client relationships to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Preparing quotations, proposals, and sales documentation.
  • Managing sales pipelines, forecasting revenue, and reporting on performance.
  • Providing technical, product, and procedural advice to customers.
  • Assisting with delivery, handover, and operational aspects of sales orders.
  • Researching and developing relationships with new manufacturers and brands.
  • Supporting sales and marketing initiatives, including e-commerce opportunities.
  • Representing Patchwork London at trade shows, networking events, and client meetings.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure successful project delivery and exceptional service for customers.

General Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Provide support to internal teams as directed, assisting with broader business activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional conduct in all work situations.
  • Identify training and skill development needs for the business or yourself.
  • Share feedback on improvement, development, or growth opportunities with the immediate team and reporting line manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, rules, procedures, and obligations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills—this role is the "public face" of the company, requiring impeccable representation.
  • Cheerful demeanour, engaging personality, and a sense of humour—highly advantageous for client relations.
  • Energetic, highly motivated individual with an enquiring mind and passion for accuracy and excellence.
  • Fluent English speaker, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relationship-driven niche sales/business development role, preferably selling specialist B2B services.
  • Proven sales track record, ability to coordinate sales programs, and meet revenue targets.
  • Strong background in the professional audio and technical equipment sector.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, make critical decisions swiftly.
  • Astute, numerate, and articulate in presentations and business discussions.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong presentation skills—confidence in pitching ideas to clients and stakeholders.
  • Advanced IT skills, including experience with CRM software (a plus) and embrace of new technologies.
  • High integrity and openness in all business dealings.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driving licence and passport—required for business travel and international projects.
