Job Title: Sales Manager

Reporting To: Senior Sales Manager

Working Hours: 9:30am – 6:00pm (with a one-hour lunch break)

Work Location: Protein Studios, 31 New Inn Yard, London, EC2A 3EY

Salary: D.O.E (Salary expectations will be discussed prior to confirmation of the first interview)

About Us:

Protein Studios is a versatile creative space in the heart of the Shoreditch Triangle - we have 17,000 sq ft of flexible event space across seven interconnected studios, plus a thriving 90-desk creative co-working community upstairs, where the Protein Studios team are based.

Our event spaces have played host to brand activations, conferences, and product launches for some of the world's most exciting brands, and clients.

Overview:

This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who loves the buzz of a busy inbox, the satisfaction of a signed contract, and the thrill of seeing a space they sold brought to life on a live event day (that’s what we love to see!)

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue across our event spaces through reactive and proactive sales, client relationship management, and business development. The role spans the full sales cycle - from managing and converting enquiries through to confirmed booking - with a focus on building long-term client relationships and encouraging repeat business.

This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is energetic, has a genuine passion for events, and gets a real buzz from landing a sale. You'll be confident, commercially sharp, and have a total vibe!

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Our sales team isn't your typical sales team. We take pride in the relationships we build - our clients feel like part of the Protein family, and we nurture those connections in a way that's warm, genuine, and anything but transactional.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Revenue:

  • Manage a high volume of daily enquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely and professional responses.
  • Own your enquiry pipeline end-to-end - from the first "we're interested" email to the confirmed booking.
  • Issue hire agreements and negotiate terms and conditions where appropriate.
  • Send invoices in relation to each sale.
  • Work alongside the sales team to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Keep our CRM (iVvy) tidy and up-to-date
  • Put together sharp, on-brand proposals and quotes.
  • Diary management - we're back-to-back with pencils and bookings, so staying on top of the calendar is key.
  • Book in and oversee site visits
  • Be the kind of contact clients actually want to hear from - responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful.
  • Hand over confirmed bookings to the ops team smoothly, so nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties in line with the role as required.

Client Relationships:

  • Build lasting relationships that turn one-off bookings into loyal regulars.
  • Spot upsell opportunities naturally, not pushily - because you actually know what clients need.
  • Upsell across all Protein Studios partners and have a strong understanding of what each partner offers.

  • Go find new business. Agencies, brands, production companies - build those relationships before they need a venue.
  • Get out there - join the team at industry events, networking sessions, and site visits. You're not just selling a space, you're selling yourself too.
  • Work with the MD and Marketing Manager on campaigns and lead gen.
  • Be present on event days as the face of Protein Studios - take the client for a coffee, grab them lunch, make them feel right at home.

You'll be great at this if you have:

  • 2 + years of experience in sales, working for a venue or event space.
  • A genuine love for the events world and the creativity that comes with it.
  • A solid track record of hitting targets and winning clients over.
  • CRM experience, ideally using iVvy or a similar platform.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A love for English bulldogs.
  • Good vibes!

What we offer:

  • Discretionary profit sharing scheme.
  • Competitive pension plan.
  • 25 days paid holiday (plus bank holidays).
  • Plenty of team and member social events.
  • Christmas and Summer team trips.
  • Free coffee in our café (biggest perk!).
  • Daily cuddles with our Head of Vibes - Coco, our resident dog (not a human, as that would be a bit weird).
  • An inclusive, collaborative, and creative working environment.

Timeline:

  • Deadline for applications: Wednesday 29th July
  • First interview: Friday 31st July
  • Second interview [In person] : W/C 3rd August
  • Start date: Ideally as soon as possible.

We look forward to hearing from you!
