Abbey Hotel Bath – A Tribute Portfolio Hotel – is a boutique property formed from three Georgian townhouses on the west end of John Wood’s North Parade, overlooking Parade Gardens and close to the iconic Pulteney Bridge. Recognized as one of Bath’s best-loved boutique hotels, it combines historic character with contemporary comfort. The hotel is home to ArtBar and Abbey Hotel Kitchen, offering vibrant food and beverage experiences for guests and local residents. With many of Bath’s top attractions on the doorstep, the hotel attracts leisure and business travelers seeking an authentic, design-led stay in the heart of the city.
Role Description
The Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Frome, responsible for driving room and event revenue for Abbey Hotel Bath – A Tribute Portfolio Hotel. This role involves:

- Managing and growing corporate, leisure, and group accounts
- Building strong relationships with travel trade partners and developing local business contacts
- Creating and implementing sales plans
- Conducting regular sales calls and site inspections
- Preparing proposals and contracts
- Maintaining accurate records in the sales system

Day-to-day activities include:
- Collaborating with revenue, marketing, and operations teams to optimize rates and packages
- Monitoring market trends and competitors
- Representing the hotel at networking events and trade shows
- Reporting on performance, forecasting, and ensuring that sales activities align with brand standards and guest experience goals
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales, with a track record of achieving revenue and growth targets
- Strong skills in account management, business development, and relationship building with corporate and leisure clients
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies, analyze market trends, and identify new business opportunities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with confidence engaging internal and external stakeholders
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including managing pipelines, reporting, and CRM or sales system usage
- Knowledge of the local and regional hospitality market; experience within boutique or lifestyle hotels is an advantage
- Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced hotel environment, collaborating across departments to support guest satisfaction
- Relevant education or training in hospitality, business, or a related field is preferred
